I was diagnosed HIV positive and pregnant in 1987 while working as a trained Child Care Worker. I believed I was the only woman in Australia in this predicament and felt an incredible sense of isolation. Ten years on I discovered HIV services and organisations and joined the Board in 1996. In awe of the dynamic positive community I met I soon engaged at many levels both local and national. As an openly positive woman, I am serious about increasing the visibility of positive women in Australia and ensuring their voices are heard and strengthened. I have been Vice-president of the Board for 9 years
I am happy to be on the Board for a second time after a break to recharge my energy levels. I feel that I have a lot to offer. Please feel free to speak to me of any matters that I can bring before the Board on your behalf
I have been involved with Positive Life SA for nearly 20 years. I have been a Board member for the past five years and I’m very passionate about the issues that affect HIV-positive people
I joined the PLSA Board to help the community and give back to the organisation as they had done so much to help me. I’ve been an active member since my diagnosis in 2008. I’m a very social person and love being out and about, enjoying plays, musicals, and comedy movies. I enjoy reading and also cooking for family & friends
I have been HIV-positive for nearly 20 years. I have much life experience and many different skills to offer the Board. In my working life I was self-employed and supervised 5 staff. I re-joined the Board at the AGM in November 2015
